‘Don’t pretend Covid has disappeared!’ This is the message to Cornwall’s residents and visitors ahead of the busy Easter break.

People are also reminded that all Covid-19 testing sites are now closed as part of the Government’s Living with Covid strategy and move to end free testing for the general population.

Some people – including those living and working in health and care settings – will still have access to free tests but the majority will have the option of purchasing them. More information on this will be available on the Government website.

Residents will pay significantly less to travel by bus from next week under a new pilot scheme led by Cornwall Council to encourage more people to travel by bus.

The reduced bus fares pilot scheme is a first for a local authority and follows a successful bid by the Council for £23.5m funded by UK Government.

It will mean adult bus passengers will, on average, pay one-third less for their fares when new summer timetables are introduced on Sunday, April 10.  read more »

The next election for all seats on Hayle Town Council will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021.

The voting and election process is organised and managed by Cornwall Council and all registered residents of Hayle Parish should have already received notification and voting forms through the post. Hayle Town Council has seats for 15 councillors, which between them, serve 2 wards in the Parish area of Hayle, which includes Phillack and Angarrack.
