Marsh Lane Footbridge Refurbishment Works - programmed to commence on Monday 9th May 2016 and should take three weeks to complet
Marsh Lane Footbridge Refurbishment Works
The works are programmed to commence on Monday 9th May 2016 and should take three weeks to complete (subject to satisfactory weather conditions). During this time the bridge will be closed, and we will be providing a mini-bus service to transport pedestrians and cyclists between Marsh Lane and the retail and industrial area on the other side of the trunk road.
This service will be provided free of charge, and will run on an approximate 10 minute turnaround between Marsh Lane (adjacent to the footbridge) and the retail car park. The service will be provided between 6.00 am and midnight. Should anyone need to contact the taxi service they can telephone 01736 851073.
We will be posting notices at the bridge and around the retail park, and writing to nearby residents and businesses to let them know about the works and the revised arrangements for crossing the A30
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this essential project may cause to the local community.
