St Erth Park and Ride scheme and air quality on the agenda at the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel meeting
Residents of the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel area are invited to attend the September meeting of the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel, items on the agenda include the St Erth Park and Ride scheme and air quality.
All are invited to attend the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel meeting which takes place on Monday 4 September between 6:30pm and 8pm at the Passmore Edwards Institute in Hayle.
The will be a presentation from Robert Trembath, Project Manager from Ward Williams Associates, about the St Erth Park and Ride scheme. The Park and Ride forms part of the larger St Erth Multi-Modal Hub project which will connect the Cornwall rail mainline, A30 trunk road, St. Ives rail park and ride service and the Cornwall bus network to offer more travel choices for local residents and visitors, as well as reduce reliance on private car transport.
In addition Eloise Travis, an officer in Cornwall Council’s Public Protection team, will be providing an update about the latest air quality monitoring results for Cornwall.
Following the presentations there will be an opportunity for local residents to ask any questions they may have.
Cornwall Councillor Pascoe, Chair of the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel, said: “All are invited to attend the September meeting of the Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel. These meetings are a great opportunity to feedback your views and be informed about local decisions so please do come along if you would like to be involved.”
The Hayle and St Ives Community Network Panel meets quarterly to discuss matters that affect the local community and to agree priorities that can be delivered by Cornwall Council and other agencies including the police and health services. Some of the areas that community networks focus on include anti-social behaviour, economic development, the environment, community planning, regeneration, conservation, community safety, transport and highway issues.
The panel comprises all six Cornwall Councillors for the area and representatives of the five parishes in the Hayle and St Ives Community Network - Gwinear-Gwithian and St Erth, Hayle North, Hayle South, Lelant and Carbis Bay, St Ives North and St Ives South.
More information about the Community Network Panels and dates for future meetings can be found on the Cornwall Council Community Networks webpage.
