191001 – Former Hawkins Motors Site via Hayle Pump
Update on the former Hawkins Motors Site –Hayle Terrace
Despite several promises and assurances from the owners and developers of the site the land has not yet been formally transferred to the Town Council as originally agreed. It is both disappointing and frustrating that the developers have not upheld their side of the agreement and cleared the site to an acceptable condition in readiness for transfer. The Town Council will continue to apply pressure on the developers and will also ask Cornwall Council to enforce the conditions of the S106 agreement which was put in place when the planning permission for the development of the houses was originally passed. The developers of the site are also obliged to give the town council the sum of £30,000 for the purpose of enhancing the immediate area.
